The Pentair IntelliFlo 4x160 (VS-3050) pump is designed to let the user manually variate water flow through the hydraulic system. Set the deired speed, and let it go! In turn, this create enormous energy savings compared to current energy-efficient and 2-speed pumps and motors. While this product is more expensive than your standard pool pump, expect to recoup the upfront cost in 1-2 years (on most systems). These variable speed pumps will see more demand as energy regulations are placed in effect. Energy demanding states such as California, Arizona, and Texas will look to these pumps as ways to lower energy consumption.
We highly recommend giving thought to the Pentair IntelliFlo 4x160 (VS-3050) if you're constructing or re-modeling a pool with multiple pumps. Installation Price Includes:
- Selected number of Jandy 3-port valves.
- Two (2), 2" CPVC threaded nipples. We don't use cheaper Schedule 80 nipples or male adaptors!
- PVC pipe and Schedule 40 fittings.
- Flexible conduit, wire, and electrical connectors.
- Re-connection of ground wire.
- Junction box.
Extra Installation Charges For:
- Concrete equipment pad (2'x2' or 2'x3'). We won't install new pumps on non-level or broken exisiting pads.
- Check valves on suction or return line.
- Re-positioning of temperature sensors for automated controls.
- Plumbing that requires replacement of any additional valves (including backwash, ball, or Jandy valves).
